Kkeuthan Clinic TenTherma Lifting
Principle of Radiofrequency Lifting
Monopolar Radiofrequency (RF) Lifting is a non-surgical lifting procedure that utilizes resistive heating generated as electric current passes through the skin.
This heat warms the collagen fibers in the skin's dermal layer to 60~70 degrees Celsius, causing immediate contraction (tightening), and at the same time, stimulates fibroblasts to promote the synthesis of new collagen and elastin.
Immediately after treatment: Dermal collagen contraction → Immediate increase in elasticity
Weeks later: Post-heat damage recovery response → New collagen generation → Enhanced lifting
In other words, immediate effects + delayed effects are both present in this treatment.
Monopolar vs. Bipolar
Radiofrequency lifting is categorized into monopolar and bipolar types.
Monopolar: Stimulates deep layers, beneficial for correcting double chin, jawline, and nasolabial folds.
Bipolar: Acts primarily on superficial layers, strong for improving skin texture, pores, and fine wrinkles.
The choice of device should vary depending on the patient's skin thickness, fat volume, and sensitivity.
TenTherma vs. Oligio
Many people ask, 'What's the difference between TenTherma and Oligio?'
Both devices are based on monopolar radiofrequency, but there are differences in their actual structure and method.
1. Impedance Check (Resistance Measurement)
Oligio: Impedance is measured only once at the start of treatment and then applied uniformly throughout the entire area.
TenTherma: measures impedance and adjusts output with every shot
→ This is the same method as Thermage, which reduces errors due to skin resistance in different areas and allows for more homogeneous and stable heat delivery.
To summarize, TenTherma is the true copy of Thermage, while Oligio offers better cost-effectiveness.
2. Tip Size
The TenTherma tip is larger than Oligio/Thermage.
A larger tip delivers stronger energy to a wider area per shot.
Even with the same 300 shots, TenTherma 300 shots > Oligio 300 shots
→ Stronger and longer-lasting effects
3. Epidermal Cooling Intensity
For monopolar RF, epidermal cooling is key to safety.
TenTherma has more powerful cooling than Oligio.
Even those with thin and sensitive skin can receive treatment with higher intensity and less pain.
Kkeuthan Clinic TenTherma Lifting Differentiators
Differentiator 1. Optimal Intensity Design – Thesis-Based Threshold Energy
Rather than a vague standard of 'not too hot', we use protocols based on academic papers and clinical data.
Designed based on ≥0.07kJ per shot / ≥40kJ total → only uses above the minimum threshold required for collagen remodeling
Within the patient's tolerable range, we minimize pain and maximize effectiveness.
(Source papers: Hong 2022 / Kim 2022 / Laubach 2009)
Differentiator 2. Thorough Customized Design
Beyond simply tightening the skin,
facial asymmetry, areas of concern, and areas with reduced elasticity are custom-designed after direct consultation with the director.
With a design that considers each person's facial structure, we aim for natural and harmonious lifting effects.
Differentiator 3. Design Grid & Superpass Overlapping Method
Kkeut Hanuiwon's Tenstherma draws a design grid to systematically delineate the treatment area.
Afterwards, the Super Pass method is applied,
safely overlapping heat in the necessary areas.
This method reduces unnecessary overheating and precisely accumulates effects, creating longer-lasting elasticity.
In other words, instead of random treatment, it is a strategically layered lifting technique.
Key Difference 4. Verification of Shot Count After Treatment – Transparent Procedures
After every treatment, we directly show patients exactly how many shots were administered.
We promise trustworthy procedures and transparent results.
Treatment Benefits
Powerful cooling minimizes pain
Impedance check with every shot → Maximized safety
Use of large tips → Stronger stimulation, longer-lasting effects
Non-invasive method → No anesthesia needed, minimal downtime
Recommended for
Those who need improvement in forehead, glabella, and nasolabial folds
Those concerned about overall facial lifting and elasticity
Those who want to improve pores and skin texture
Those who need improvement in double chin
Those who desire Thermage-level lifting effects but are burdened by the cost
Those who want quick recovery and find surgical or injectable procedures intimidating

Post-Treatment Precautions
If the skin is thin, redness in the shape of the tip may remain for 1-2 weeks but will naturally disappear.
Symptoms such as redness, warmth, throbbing, swelling, toothache, and tooth sensitivity may occur but usually subside within 1-2 weeks.

Q&A
고객님들이 가장 많이 물어보시는 내용을 모았습니다.
Q. What is the pain level during TenTherma treatment?
TenTherma has one of the strongest cooling performances among monopolar RF devices (Thermage copy lifting). Thanks to powerful cooling, the epidermis is protected, and the pain is tolerable, with most patients receiving the treatment without much discomfort.
Q. Is TenTherma treatment possible if I have had Botox or filler?
It is fine to receive the treatment after about a month. If you wish to have various procedures, it is best to decide after a consultation.
Q. How many shots are needed to see results?
For TenTherma lifting, a minimum of 300 shots per session is standard. However, we recommend 600 shots or more, as a higher shot count allows for sufficient energy accumulation, leading to a longer-lasting lifting effect.
Q. Are there any treatments that are good to combine with this?
Since TenTherma targets the dermal layer, combining it with treatments that stimulate other layers can double the effect. Targeting the SMAS layer: Shurink (HIFU) Targeting the fat layer: Onda Lifting (Microwave) By combining treatments layer by layer, you can experience a three-dimensional lifting effect that encompasses the entire facial structure.
Q. How long does the treatment take?
TenTherma lifting takes approximately 20 minutes. Thanks to the quick treatment time, busy professionals can comfortably receive it during lunch breaks or after work.
Q. Is it noticeable the next day?
There is almost no downtime. Occasionally, redness or swelling may appear for 1-2 days, but it does not affect daily life, and makeup can be applied immediately.
Q. How many sessions are needed?
TenTherma lifting is a long-term management treatment to prevent aging. While you will see effects even with a single treatment, you will experience the biggest difference when you receive it consistently and periodically.
Q. What is the treatment interval?
For 300 shots: Recommended every 3-6 months For 600 shots: Recommended every 6 months to 1 year This may vary depending on the number of shots and individual skin condition.
